During the winter thro' to Easter 2004 we meet at Farnworth Pool, 8:00pm on Mondays..

During the summer (Easter onwards) we meet at High Rid reservoir between Bolton & Horwich

Note that High Rid can only be accessed from the south west end of the lane,
ie from A673 Chorley New Road, past Fall Birch
hospital up a small road, look for the weird tree on your right, the road gets
a bit lumpy bumpy at this point so make sure those boats are secure!
The gates will come up on the left after about 200 mts,hopefully they will be
open and you can drive straight in. If not park on the right and wait for
a designated key holder/responsible person.
There will be changing facilities ample parking and a chance to make a brew.There
will be somewhere to sit in the dry when it rains and soft grass to
lie on as the last rays of the sun set over Blackpool tower.
Apres paddling we retire to Bob's Smithy on Chorley Old Road, at the junction with Scout Road.
Periodically we have moving water training sessions at the Burrs Country Park on the outskirts of Bury.
